Fire Pumps and AEDs

The Lake Panache Campers Association Inc. maintains fire pumps in locations around Lake Panache for use in emergencies (red pins on the map) and in November 2020, installed the first of three automated external defibrillators (AEDs). The AEDs were purchased with funds raised by the Dodd Family through a GoFundMe campaign in memory of Tim Dodd. The AEDs are identified with a green bubble on the map.

AEDs are portable, life-saving devices designed to treat people experiencing sudden cardiac arrest, a medical condition in which the heart stops beating suddenly and unexpectedly.

There are currently 11 AEDs available around the lake (see green bubbles on the map). Three are currently available for year-round use (yellow bubbles):

1. Duhamel Camp in Stoney Bay

2. In the garage at the Hayes Camp at 1545 Reserve Camp Road

3. On the boat house at the MacIsaac Camp at 2003 North Shore Road

The AED at the Panache Bay Marina is currently unavailable and will be available in spring 2025.

Thank you to the Dodd for spreadheading this initiative to the Hayes and MacIssac families for hosting the AEDs.

Fire Pumps

Fire pumps are identified with a red pin on the map.

Each fire pump kit includes:

• 1 Honda Gas Powered Pump

• 4 x 50′ Discharge Hoses

• 1 Suction House

• 1 Priming Pail

The fire pump kits are assembled in a special container.

If you use one of the fire pumps, please ensure it is returned to its original location with all components. Please advise the Association at info@lakepanachecampers.com if you use one of the pumps so we may ensure it is properly serviced and ready for future use.
